Move over table cloths and sundresses! The classic checkered print gets an edgy update in the form of these effortlessly cool and super stretchy hi-rise pants. I typically view all things gingham as a little too domestic, youthful, Americana for my personal style but these pants scream pop punk band circa 2005, which is very much my style. A gingham skinny pant gave me the perfect excuse to buy a pattern I normally shy away from due to the style of clothing that typically uses a gingham fabric - think button up, collared shirts or sleeveless a-line swing dresses.

These gingham pants are extremely hi-waisted, which means I finally have a pair of pants that are a true hi-rise on my long torso. I've paired it with a knotted up band tee as a nod to high school me who would have also rocked this look in 2005 (but with bad hair and more acne). The cut is flattering on a wide variety of body types due to the adjusting inseam as the sizes increase.  They sold out online within days of their release the first time around. They are back in stock but I can guarantee they won't last long!
